I can never decide which is better - the soup or the dumplings.
Ingredients
- 6 cups beef stock (recipe)
- 2 slices of bread
- 7 ounces ground beef
- 1 medium potato
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons semolina
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- salt & pepper to taste
Directions
1. Wet bread in water, then squeeze out water. Mix with ground beef.
2. Shred potato finely. Mix with beef mixture, egg, semolina, paprika and season to taste.
3. When mixture is well blended, make walnut sized dumplings in the palm of your hand.
4. In a large pot, pour 6 cups of stock and bring to boil. Throw in the dumplings and simmer for 25 minutes.
