Falafel

Falafel is easy to make, and this step by step falafel recipe will guide you through it. Falafel is a food enjoyed in Israel and many other places in the world.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chickpeas
- 2 tbspns chopped parsley
- 2 tbspns chopped coriander
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1/2 tbspn sodium bicarbonate
- 1 tspn cumin
- 1 tspn salt
Directions
1. Soak chickpeas with water and 1 tablespoon of baking powder for 24 hours. Drain.
2. Mix all ingredients in food processor to a smooth blend.
3. Refrigerate for 2.5 hours
4. Create falafel "balls" using either an ice cream scoop, or your hands!
5. Deep-fry falafel for 2-3 minutes in high-heat oil until browned.
6. Serve and enjoy!
