Focaccia Bread

Focaccia is an Italian bread that is easy and amazingly good.
Ingredients
Step 1:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3/4 cup water
Step 2:
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 cups flour
- 2 1/4 cups water
Directions
1. Use an electric mixer and place all ingredients for step 1 in a bowl. Mix with dough hook for 2 minutes. Let rest 30 minutes.
2. Add sugar, salt and oil. Mix. Add flour and water, and continue mixing with dough hook for 6 minutes for batter to be consistant.
3. Place batter on oiled oven pan, cover with towel and leave for 1 hour to rise.
4. Spread oil over your hands and smooth out dough to uniform thickness. Use your thumb to make holes in the dough. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
5. Drizzle with olive oil, and optionally rosemarry, coarse salt, coarse pepper, oregano or basil.
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 430F for 20 minutes, until golden brown.
